3rd kick: voice/action for house 11

[kickingcatcher]

[When Crys arrives back at the house late at night, she pretty much looks like a wreck. She just looks plain exhausted, and her left arm is in a sling. The rest of her is spotted with a few bruises and small scrapes, but nothing too horrible aside from her arm. As she walks up to the house, she notices the... weird ice wall? And stares in disbelief before walking in. Why she didn't notice it sooner, we may never know. Anyway, walking back into the house now. Mega walks with her for support as Crys closes the door. Unconsciously, she speaks to nothing.]

I'm home...

[Except everyone is asleep. Whoops. Mega nudges her gently with her head, and Crys pats her back. Letting out a tired sigh, she'll just walk to the kitchen and get some water or something. And sits down with her good hand covering her face.]

[Voice]

[Much later in the day on the 24th, and at a more reasonable time than midnight, she opens up the journal and pauses for a bit. She sounds a little tired, taking a deep breath before speaking.]

Has being here changed anyone?

[Yeah, but you're the one limping. So she'll just grab one side of Gold, and help you get him up. They'll just dump him on the couch or something. She looks slightly upset, but just sighs.]

[Nope, no limp here. Really! See? He's walking just fine as he helps carry Gold over to the couch. You're imagining things, Crys.]

I'll explain what happened when Gold wakes up.

[Yeah, that is some nice BSing there, Silver. And they'll just set Gold down so he can sleep. He needs it.]

Okay, it can wait, then. [... and she will just casually not mention her own injury.]

In the meantime, you can explain what happened to your arm.

[She's not gonna be happy...] I was mad at one of them, and tried to kick them. Their weapon got me first.

[Too sloppy. Not Crys like. Gold isn't visibly injured, so it doesn't make sense for her to just be mad and lose it like that.]

You're hiding something.

[She tenses up a little. Ugh, she doesn't want to say this around Gold, even if he's out cold. She talks in a quieter voice.]

It somehow put me in something like a dream and pretended to be Gold. It took his appearance.

[Can we just leave it at that?]

[...This is the part where Silver grabs her hand and drags her to the kitchen. ...He's grabbing the hand of her good arm.

And now that we are sufficiently out of Gold's presence-]

It took on his appearance?

[She follows him, and when they get into the kitchen, she just nods.]

It... looked exactly like him. It acted like him a bit, too. A-and the whole time in that stupid dream, I fell for it because I thought Gold was my boyfriend.

[She is not going to cry, she is not going to cry, she will not cry. Which means she's kinda crying by now.] I don't even know why. But the real Gold came in and proved he was a phony.

[Yeah, it was a hard time. And she really just needs to vent all this out, it's been pent up the whole time.] I was so angry, I wanted to land just one kick myself. And then it turned into my mom. I-It took that chance and cut me. But my Pokemon knocked it out after.

[Silver stares at her for a good long moment. He's stunned. It... Made a dream? An illusion? And she completely fell for it?...

And it was Gold. He won't even touch the boyfriend part right now. It made itself be Gold... And then it was her mom...]

[...And now Crys is crying. Hugging is something he's bad at, but pulling her into a half hug (while being mindful of her arm, of course,) comes naturally. He doesn't even think about it. Is that... New? Have there always been cultists like that? Why Crys-]

[Action]

[She just rubs her tears away, even though they keep coming. She stays still until Silver hugs her. Which is... a pretty big surprise for her, honestly. Crys all too quickly hugs him back with her good arm, the tears falling quicker than before.]

It hurt. [Her voice cracked a little.] It hurt that Gold being my boyfriend was a lie. And I don't know why. A-And I couldn't stand having my Pokemon attack the image of my mom like that.

[She rests her head on Silver's shoulder.] I was so scared.

[Action]

[tsuntrader]

[He's not good at words, nor is he good at being comforting. Not in the slightest. This is why keeping quiet and a comforting physical gesture like a hug seem like the best things for this situation right now. Hugging and listening. Being a comforting presence.]

[Action]

[She just stays there, crying quietly for a little longer. She's already said what's been bothering her, no need to say anymore. Crys leans against him for a few more minutes before standing up straight and taking her head off his shoulder. She wiped away the last (or what seems to be the last) of her tears on her sleeve, and looks up to Silver.]

Thank you. For being here for me, I mean.

[mischiefbreeder]

[Oh, well, aren't you two having a sweet moment? Well, Gold's standing in the doorway. Has he been there for a while? Who knows. He's standing there now, though.]

[tsuntrader]

Yeah, no- [...Gold is awake? ...Well that was fast.]

...Problem. [Hi Gold. Are you gonna say anything?]

[kickingcatcher]

[... you've got to be kidding her. Can she just. Kick him now? If not, then she'll just blush.]

G-Gold!? How long were you there?

[mischiefbreeder]

[No response. He just slowly staggers towards the fridge. As he passes by, you two may even notice he's not actually awake. He's still asleep, eyes tightly shut as he ambles to his destination.]

[tsuntrader]

[...And this is the point where Silver walks over to Gold and starts shaking his shoulder.] Hey. Wake up.

[kickingcatcher]

[He's sleepwalking. THAT SON OF A BITCH IS SLEEPWALKING. It takes all of her willpower to not walk over there and kick him awake, so you can handle this one, Silver.]

[mischiefbreeder]

[He just shrugs off Silver's hand and opens the fridge, grabbing a juice box from the shelf. Mmmm, juice.]

[tsuntrader]

[Gold, would you just-

...Actually, maybe Gold has the right idea here. Even if he's... Asleep. Silver calmly yanks a couple of juice boxes out and passes one to Crys as if Gold sleepwalking and grabbing juice boxes is the most normal thing in the world.]
